Playism works to bring indie titles from Japan to the rest of the world and vica versa. As Playism works on all aspects from localizing a title to delivering the title to the customer. We understand that sometimes things would seem a little complicated, so please refer to the following to answer any of your questions.

How to use this site. Is an account required?
Viewing the pages and the trailers can be done without needing to log in. An account is needed if you would like to purchase any games or download free games.

Yes, it is free. There is no registration fee, or renewal fee.
How do I make an account?
There are two ways to register an account on the Playism website.
You can either sign up using an email address, or using a social media account. You can register your account here.
On the right, you can sign up using an email address, after entering your information, please click register. After creating your account, you will automatically be logged in.
How do I log in?
Please log in from here.Once logged in, your information will be saved in a cookie to enable you to login automatically when visiting the Playism Site.
Can I combine my email address account and my Social Media Account?
If you create an account using an email address, and another account using a Social Media, if they both contain the same email address, they will log into the same account.
I mistyped my email address, what do I do?
After logging in, please view your profile. You will be able to edit your information there.
How do I change my password?
After logging in, please view your profile. You will be able to edit your information there.
I have forgotten the registered username and password I've used.
Please check your email for your Member Registration Completion Message or Purchase details for your username information. If you know you email address, you can also reset your password from this page.
How can I pay for my games?
Payments on Playism are handled by PayPal and Stripe, allowing you to pay with either a PayPal account or a Credit Card. The payments are managed on the Playism site. We do not store any of your credit card details and all transactions are encrypted through HTTPS.
Please note that if you are on a Japanese account (all prices are in yen), and you use a non-Japanese Credit Card to pay, you may be charged a processing fee by the payment system provider.
I want to change my currency, how do I do this?
Your currency will automatically be set depending on what region you are in. If you are in the currency, please contact us with evidence of your county of residence so we can correct your currency.
Can you tell us about the purchase flow?
First of all, please click “Add to Cart” on the product page.
When you have finished adding items to your cart, please click on “My Cart” in the top right of your screen. Before you can make you purchase, you will be prompted to log in, it is not possible to make a purchase without a Playism account.
Please review your order before selecting your Payment Method.
If you have a coupon code, please add the relevant product to your cart. Then, please enter your coupon code in the coupon box and click apply.
Once you have paid for your products, you will be redirected to a purchase completion page and have a receipt emailed to you. If you wish to access the Steam key (if the purchase has one) or redownload your game, please visit your Game Library.
CAN I PURCHASE GAMES ON THE JAPANESE WEBSITE?
You are free to switch the language between Japanese and English, however, please note that some games are unavailable in certain currencies.
My purchase failed / my card was declined, what do I do?
If your purchased failed for any reason, you are able to view the purchase attempt in your My Page area under “Purchases”. You will be able to see the attempted purchase listed in your purchase history where you can view the details, change the payment method or cancel the purchase. Selecting “Change Payment” ( ) will allow you to change your payment method or to try your purchase again.
Please note that changing your payment method is only available for 24 hours.
I get an error when adding a game to my cart.
Please check to see if you already own the game, you are unable to add the game to your cart if you purchased it as part of a bundle.
If you don’t already own the game, please check your purchase history as you may already have a purchase waiting for payment.
After paying, can I download immediately?
After completing the payment process, you will be able to download the game immediately from your Game Library, unless it’s a pre-order purchase, or the game isn’t available etc.Please note that in some cases, the game can take a short interval of time before it appears in your game library.
If your game does not appear within 30 minutes, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Where can I download my game?
Once you have logged in, you can find your games in your Game Library. Depending on the format the game is distributed in, you will have the option to Download or Get Key listed with your games.
I am getting an error after inputting a serial key into Steam.
Please note that not all Game Serials are Steam Keys. If the game page states that there are steam keys attached, then you should be able to activate it on Steam. There are also some cases where an authentication key is used, as well as a Steam Key.
If your game does have a Steam key, and the key is being declined on Steam, please contact us.
After purchasing, is there a download deadline or limit?
There is no deadline or limit.
I want to purchase a game as a gift for a friend.
We are afraid to say that gifting is currently not available on the Playism website.
What is a coupon code?
A coupon code is a special code for applying a special discount. If you have a coupon code, please add the relevant product to your cart. Then, please click “Apply a coupon to your cart”, enter your coupon code and click “Apply coupon”. If the coupon code is valid, the discount should be applied. If it is not, please double check that the code is valid and entered correctly.
Is it possible to get a refund after paying?
Please note that due to the nature of DRM free, it is not possible to refund your purchase. In extream situations, like a site error or an accidental double purchase, a refund request may be considered.
I own a game that is no longer published on Playism, can I still access it?
If you have purchased a game which is no longer available on Playism, you will still have access to it via your Game Library.
I don't know if the game will work on my computer, so I'm hesitant to buy it.
If there is a demo available for the game, we recommend you use this to test if it will run. If not, please check the minimum specifications listed for the game in question at the bottom of the store page. You can compare this to your own PC’s specifications.
The game doesn't start on my Mac.
There are some cases where the download data for the Mac version of a game may be broken or cause an error. Since the Mac OS 10.8 and higher security is set to strict by default, you will need to either check the “Security and Privacy” settings.
You may have to temporarily change your settings located: Apple menu > System Preferences… > Security & Privacy > General tab under the header "Allow applications downloaded from:"
I don't use this site, how I can I delete my account?
In the Settings area of your My Page, you will be able to find the "Request Account Removal" button. You will be able to request an account removal from here. Please note that once your account has been removed, you will lose all access to any purchases you had made in the past. Reinstating your account is also not possible, so please take this into consideration before requesting an account removal.

Playism is operated by a company called Active Gaming Media Co. Ltd.
The head office is located in Osaka, Japan. It is a localization and marketing company that has delivered numerous entertainment contents to the world, including games.

What are your regulations on Let's Plays, Videos, Blog Posts etc.?
Playism will not object to use of gameplay footage and/or screenshots captured from Playism Published games in the content you create for appropriate video and image sharing sites. However, please note that this content should include your own creative input and/or commentary, and should not be used for the purpose of slander. If your content is compliant with this request, we can also allow you to monetize your videos and channels.
You are not permitted to imply or state that your videos are officially affiliated with or sponsored by Playism, unless we have specifically specified so in a contract with you.
We reserve the right to remove any content that we believe is unlawful, infringing, inappropriate, or not in line with our stated guidelines. In some cases, we may take down videos on behalf of our partners.
What is the recommended environment for browsing the Playism website?
Will Steam keys purchased via the PLAYISM Store become unusable on Steam after the store closes down?
Steam keys purchased via the PLAYISM Store will still be usable on Steam after the closing, even if they have not yet been activated. Additionally, games activated on Steam will still be playable after the PLAYISM Store closes down.
Are there plans for games currently sold on the PLAYISM Store to be sold via other stores?
There are no such plans as of the time of closing.
Will DRM-free games still be playable after the PLAYISM Store closes down?
Will DRM-free games continue to receive updates/support after thePLAYISM Store closes down?
Unfortunately, they will not.For games for which Steam keys are provided with purchase, please use Steam to play the latest updated versions.
After the My Page (registered member services) feature is shut down, will myaccount info, purchase info, etc. be deleted?
This info will be deleted after customer support for registered members ends,currently scheduled for May 17th, 2021 (Mon.). Please note that since information required for reference and confirmation willbe deleted after the support period ends, once customer support has beenterminated, confirmation of account info and reacquisition of purchased contentwill no longer be possible.
