Long-range 2D sniping!
The player's Dimensional Submarine’s basic weaponry can only attack enemies on screen, and with a lower attack power it can be hard to defeat enemy subs as they close in; that’s where your torpedos come in handy. Torpedos are a powerful one-hit-kill option when used off-screen enemies.
The sonar on the right side of the screen will react to enemy presence to aid you in destroying your enemies.
Only one torpedo can be fired at a time, and a miss will alert the enemy, who will close in.
Search slowly and calmly for that signal before taking aim. Every shot counts.
Only you can protect yourself and other humans aboard your ship!
In-Game Music Included
A lonely sub exploring the Ether Sea with subtle, atmospheric music woven into the journey.
The tracks are in MP3 (320kbps) and FLAC formats using lossless audio compression methods.
This indie game was made in just 3 weeks, but there were plenty of things influenced the way in which we designed the game, for example:
- What would it be like to be so deep in the waters that you can’t see any light around you?
- Exploring a product featuring a submarine can help to inspire curiosity in this type of unique situation.
Also, while conceptualizing the idea for the title, I had many thoughts about the pure fun and thrill granted by playing shooting games. Due to the fact that I have played through several shooter titles, it became clear in my mind that I wanted to recreate that feeling but within the context of controlling a submarine that is exploring the depths of the deep-sea.
I talked to our team about making a small, indie, short game in about a week but we ended up pouring three-times more effort into it and this is the result of those 3 weeks.
