OVERVIEW

As a lone starship pilot lost in a dimensional loop just before a big space battle, with a limited and constantly depleting energy tank, your only hope is to fly as fast as possible over enormous space dreadnoughts, destroying their defenses and the cyan power cubes to get some energy back.

Try to escape the infinite loop of Futuridium: you can count only on your reflexes, your dual lasers, the nimbleness of your starship and... the ability to turn 180° on the spot! Can you beat all the 50 levels, the 5 bosses, unlock all the extra game modes and collect the 150 medals?
Good luck! You’ll need it...

KEY FEATURES

・A massive campaign with 50 different levels, 5 bosses and 5 bonus stages.
・The 180° on-the-spot turn provides a unique and compelling new gameplay mechanic!
・10 different leaderboards to master.
・Extra gameplay modes to unlock, like the good ol' Classic run with all new levels and the crazy minigame "Flappyridium".
・17 song, 60 minutes long original electronic soundtrack. Trust us, it’s awesome!
・Space trains, the space cow sound effect, evil black negacubes… the Futuridium universe is full of crazy stuff!
・Contains an unlimited supply of glowing blue cubes to destroy. Warning: it’s highly addictive stuff.

The key to master this indie game is how to use the 180 turn, rather than how to fly, evade, or shoot. When you are about to hit the wall, you can just flip 180 degrees by pressing one button. So don't forget to use the turn!
Also, once you get used to the game, I highly recommend playing the game with first person view (you can change the view while you play).

The music is awesome. The psychedelic, retro style of this game really matches with the music and make you feel pure hype. You can change the song at anytime during the game-play.

The Difficulty of this game is something you need: you'll struggle, but you can earn extra credits or new features by earning the blue cube counts. So your playtime won't be just a waste, but an upgrade opportunity!

We started developing Futuridium as a small side project for an online game development contest. It was a small idea in the beginning: we really wanted to pay homage to the 8bit top down shooter Uridium, bringing some core gameplay mechanics in 3D.

It was a bit crazy since the main mechanic is based on your ability to turn your ship 180° on the spot just by pressing a button. Since you can’t see what’s behind you we really didn’t know if this gameplay mechanic could work, so we tested it and… not only did it work, but it was also very fun!

After developing a small 4 levels prototype we decided to turn Futuridium in a full game, so thanks to the support from Sony we released Futuridium EP Deluxe first on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, greatly expanding the scope of the game and adding a ton of extras like the turbo, the boss fights, the bonus levels and so on…

In the end we’re really satisfied on how the game turned out: Futuridium EP Deluxe is our debut game, we really enjoyed working on it and we’ve learned a lot on game development for our future projects.
