However they cursed their abilities and endured lives of persecution as they were feared for their "unnatural" abilities. One powerful Magus and his eight disciples rose up against the Holy Empire and the Orthodox Church in a long battle. This powerful Magus lost his life in the battle, but with his sacrifice came great justice:
Magi would be allowed to live alongside humans... as soldiers of the Empire.
But a few decades passed and a revolution is on the rise again.
