Moving forward into 2016, there are so many changes and brand new titles headed to the forefront of Playism. We're celebrating the launch of Croixleur Sigma on the PS4 right now, we're just days away from announcing a new game, and plenty is in the pipeline. Dungeons and Darkness, Lost Technology, Memento...the list goes on. We are proud to ride the wave of Japanese indies and bring you the absolute best, and part of that is remembering where we came from.
Some people wonder where it is we find the games that we translate and release in the West (and vice versa). The truth is, it's a matter of search and find. There are some games that come through the airwaves and land in our inbox. Devs on both sides come to us with items they hope we'll publish, and we give every game that lands a fair shake and a play before we decide. Often, we vote, we discuss, sometimes we argue fervently, but the conclusion is always one that is all-inclusive.
Other times, it's games that we come across in our own lives. Maybe it's from visiting Comiket and fielding the never-ending rows of games that are at the Big Site. Sometimes we hear a developer is working on something and we need to approach them immediately and float the question: "Ever thought about releasing in Japan?" And even others still are a result of stumbling across a random Let's Play or Twitch of some game we've never seen before, but immediately become fascinated with.
It's impossible to say where our next wonderful release will come from, but we wanted to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who's been with us on this journey so far. From developers to artists to every single fan who's bought from us, be it on Playism-Games or Steam, thank you. We promise that we'll continue to deliver outstanding titles and one-of-a-kind experiences as the years progress, and you'll always be satisfied to know that the games we handle will be given the absolute best treatment.
Here's to a great year!
